Legendary rock and roll icon Ann Wilson of Heart will headline the 2023 Women Who Rock Benefit Concert! Presented by Gibson Gives, the 6th annual concert is back at Stage AE on Saturday, October 21st.

Proceeds benefit Magee-Womens Research Institute hospital (the nation’s largest research institute dedicated solely to life-saving women’s health research). From the pink carpet to a silent auction, here’s everything you need to know!

Ann Wilson Performs!

One of the best rock and roll voices of all time, Ann Wilson, will be performing her classic Heart hits! Songs like Barracuda, Crazy on You, Magic Man – we’ve all sung these songs with pure joy our entire lives.

She’s racked up the accolades along the way: more than 35 million records sold, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. She is going to tear the house down.

Her current project, Tripsitter, recently released their new album. This is truly going to be a WWR performance to remember. Past performers at this benefit concert include Sheila E., Jordin Sparks, Rita Wilson, Orianthi.

Social Sharing Photo Booth + Silent Auction

The event has become an awesome tradition each year. I’ve been going since 2018 – it’s a really fun night, filled with amazing music, uplifting moments, and so many cool things to do. The Social Sharing Photo Booth captures candid shots with you and your friends.

Also, every year the Silent Auction has amazing items. You can bid on one-of-a-kind experiences. “Bid on signed music memorabilia, Gibson Guitars, culinary experiences, local restaurants and wineries, artwork and so much more! All for an amazing cause!”

Interactive Beauty Bar + VIP Lounge

The Interactive Beauty Bar is back again. It “offers a one-of-a-kind on-site activation, offering guests beauty perks, samples, shopping and services from Vision Partying, Renee Piatt Collection, Izzazu Salon, Spa & Blowout Bar, Fearless Female, Innovative Wellness Center, and more.”

There’s also the VIP Lounge and VIP gifting suite presented by Baird. It’s almost sold out! You’ll get exclusive access to the 2nd Floor VIP Happy Hour & Lounge!

All Female-Fronted Lineup

Like always, it’s all female-fronted bands! The alternative rock group, The Vindys, return to the stage. They’ve played this show before – and it was insane!

Local DJ Madame Trio will get the party going. There’s also a performance from the winner of the 2023 Women Who Rock Rising Star Contest.

Michelle Michaels returns for the sixth year in a row as the emcee. She is a radio legend! WDVE rocks!

Walk the Pink Carpet

Arrive in style on the pink carpet, hosted by Natalie Bencivenga. This is a unique and fun part of the event. It all goes down on the pink carpet!

“Women Who Rock connects through the power of music and helps educate, support, and fund women-centric health research.”

You can still donate if you can’t make the show!

No need to worry if you can’t attend – you can donate here. All proceeds benefit life-saving womens health research at Magee-Womens Research Institute.

Impact Award

The 2023 Women Who Rock Impact Award will go to Jocelyn Fitzgerald, M.D. “It is a tremendous honor to be given this award, because it represents the core of what I believe to be the future of women’s health–collaboration and investment between society and science,” Fitzgerald said.

In a recent interview with Forbes Magazine, Women Who Rock Founder, Melinda Colaizzi, talked about how music and WWR helps spotlight women’s healthcare and research. “There is nothing more powerful than music and its universal ability to unite, inspire, connect, and move people,” says Colaizzi. “Since women in music and women’s health research still faces great underrepresentation this joint message is delivered very powerfully through music.”
