Seasonal Food, Drinks at Coughlin’s Law
With two locations, Coughlin’s Law brings you twice the amount of nice with a bountiful fall menu.

The Harvest Sangria is fall in a glass with pinot gris, apple cider, brown sugar simple, apple brandy, cinnamon, and cloves. Warm up with a Fireside Margarita made with blanco tequila, lime juice, apple cider, cinnamon burnt honey, triple sec, and mezcal float. Taste the season with an Autumn Negroni with chai infused gin, fig infused sweet vermouth, and campari. The Applewood Smoked Old Fashioned features single barrel Knob Creek, fall spiced cider reduction, cinnamon burnt honey, and cherry vanilla bark bitters.
All October long you can enjoy Pumpkin Beer Flights of three 9oz pumpkin beers. The highlight flight selection is Coughlin’s Brewing Outlaw Pumpkin and the other seasonal beer options will change as supplies last.
Monster Mystery Family Night at Kamin Science Center
Get up to some frightfully good fun during Monster Mystery Family Night on Friday, October 16th from 6pm – 10pm at Kamin Science Center.

Come dressed in costume and help solve the mystery of the stolen Halloween candy while using real forensic techniques to determine which monster committed the crime. You will explore all five floors of the science center as you analyze the fingerprint, hair, and footprint clues using a fingerprinting exercise, hair analysis, and footprint matching. Stay for the big reveal of the who-dunnit at 9pm and leave with a treat.
An on-theme show will be featured in the Buhl Planetarium and there will be two showings of the theatrical science show “Frankenscience.” Admission is $15 for nonmembers and $10 for members.
Fall Fest Fun and a Family Musical at Pittsburgh Playhouse
Celebrate the season at the Pittsburgh Playhouse’s third annual Fall Fest, a free community street festival with food, crafts, and games. Grab a bite from food vendors, paint a pumpkin, and win prizes at this fun-filled fall outing perfect for all ages.
Make a day of it and see the frightfully fun family musical Boo’s Halloween House Party, with performances running during Fall Fest! A highlight of Fall Fest, this spook-tacular 45-minute family musical is co-written by Point Park University alumnus Ahmad Simmons and Lazlo Graves and features music, dancing, laughter, and Halloween thrills for little monsters, grown-up ghouls, and everyone in between.

Both Fall Fest and Boo’s Halloween House Party run October 23rd – 25th, 30th – 31st, and November 1st at the Pittsburgh Playhouse at Point Park University located at 350 Forbes Avenue. Fall Fest Fun at Triple B Farms
Triple your fall fun with a trip to Triple B Farms to enjoy their annual Fall Fest, pumpkin picking, flower picking, and local professionally-grown fruits and vegetables, fresh baked goods, homemade fudge in the market. Back again are the apple and pumpkin donuts and the ever-popular Apple Fries with caramel dipping sauce. You’ll find additional tasty treats available in the food barn.

Rocktoberfest at The Waterfront
Beers of the Burgh and Zero Fossil Energy are teaming up once again to take Oktoberfest tradition to the next level with Rocktoberfest at The Waterfront on Saturday, October 10th from 4pm – 9pm under the Homestead Grays bridge.

Rocktoberfest is a FREE family-friendly music fest celebrating the season by using Zero Fossil’s solar stage to turn sunshine into rock’n’roll. Come Rock Out to NASH.V.ILL., TV’s Norm, 9FiftySeven, and Gene the Werewolf.

Reflections in Glass at The Westmoreland
Experience Reflections in Glass, a five-day celebration of creativity and collaboration between The Westmoreland Museum of American Art and Pittsburgh Glass Center from Wednesday, October 14th – Sunday, October 18th from 10am – 5pm each day. Discover original glass creations by 15 artists from Pennsylvania and beyond, each inspired by a work of art on display in museum galleries.

For a spooky good time, get your ticket to the one-night-only event Glass After Dark on Friday, October 16th 5:30pm – 8pm where you can enjoy music, sip a signature cocktail from the cash bar, and meet the participating artists. Pittsburgh Glass Center’s Light Lab will provide live illuminated glass demos of neon and plasma. Enhance the evening by purchasing exclusive Penn/Fairmount handcrafted glassware (glassware purchase includes one free drink). Tickets to this event are $5 for members and $15 for non-members and also includes access to Reflections in Glass.
