The National Aviary is gearing up for the return of their signature summer event, Night in the Tropics: Evening in Paradise. This annual themed event features live music, dancing, signature cocktails, and up-close experiences with Aviary animals.
Back on a Friday by popular demand, guests can take in a glowing sunset while eating, drinking, and dancing their way around a colorful, lantern-lit outdoor area with night market vibes. It’s a party not to miss for Aviary fans!
Activities & Attire
Dress in your favorite chic summer outfits and be transported to the islands of Southeast Asia without leaving the North Side. (Don’t forget to wear comfy shoes to walk the Aviary grounds!)
Colorful and tropical Animal Ambassador birds will lead guests into the indoor/outdoor Garden Room with live entertainment, craft drinks bites from local eateries including Atria’s and Pittsburgh Barbecue Company. Just outside, the vibes of a night market come to life with a space chock full of even more delectable foods from some of Pittsburgh’s tastiest restaurants, plus signature cocktails, craft beer, and wine.
The dance floor will be available for guests to dance the night away! Get closer to National Aviary Animal Ambassadors and get a chance to snap photos with an African Penguin. Guests will also experience after-hours access to the Aviary’s lush habitats, where experts will point out Indo-Malayan species that inspired this year’s theme including the Bali Myna and the Malayan Flying Fox.
VIP Upgrade
For the ultimate Night in the Tropics experience, upgrade to VIP to get two full hours of early-party access, featuring special experiences with National Aviary Animal Ambassador species like Clover, a Grey-crowned Crane. Other VIP perks include free valet and full bar services with premium spirits at every bar.
Proceeds Benefit Conservation Efforts
Proceeds from Night in the Tropics support the National Aviary’s work to save birds and protect their habitats.
All guests will have a chance to further support this cause by purchasing raffle tickets to win a trip for two to Maui The winner will be announced live during the party.
Guests will also have a chance to bid on amazing auction items at the party and even beforehand from the comfort of home.
