Highmark tree lighting, live music, and fireworks!

The big moment of the night – The Highmark Christmas Tree Lighting – happens at 7pm, along with Zambelli fireworks! This is on Stanwix Street and Penn Avenue. There will be more fireworks at 9:30pm at the Xfinity Riverside Stage.

You can check out live music on the Highmark Main Stage – Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers will play at 6pm. Other acts include SING SING SING (3pm) and Miss Freddye’s Blues Band (8:15pm).

American Idol winner Phillip Phillips performs!

American Idol winner Phillip Phillips will be performing at the Xfinity Riverside Stage (Ft. Duquesne Blvd. and 6th Street) at 8:30pm.

Back in 2012 (has it really been that long?!), he won Idol and took the country by storm with his genuine acoustic performances. Best known for his pop hits “Home,” “Gone, Gone, Gone,” and the underrated “Raging Fire,” Phillips recently released his fourth album “Drift Back” earlier this year.

Orange Music featuring Isaiah Small (4:30pm) and Soulful Femme (6:30pm) will be opening. On the Cultural District Stage (7th Street and Penn Ave.) will be Pennsoulvanians (3pm), Clara Kent and Mani Bahia (5pm), and Pickup Line (7pm).

Christmas tree, Holiday Market, and ice skating at PPG Place!

Make sure to see the Christmas tree all lit up at PPG Place! It’s 66 feet tall with 100,000 lights, and it’s always an amazing sight to see up close. The ice skating rink is the quintessential spot for some festive photo ops.

Market Square will also have their Peoples Gas Holiday Market ready to go! During the event, “there will be food and drinks from local vendors, food trucks, and pop-up beer & cocktail gardens.”

This Pittsburgh-favorite event will be one you don’t want to miss! Additional details are available online, such as transportation recommendations and an exclusive VIP experience!
