Get ready for a fun night of nostalgia! “History Uncorked: We Love The ‘90s” is Friday, March 8th at the Heinz History Center. Because who doesn’t love a ‘90s themed party?!
Here’s everything you need to know. Note: this article contains a number of familiar phrases from that time period. I mean, how could I resist? As if! (Okay it’s starting already.)
Entertainment & Activities All Night!
The 26th annual event is going to be the coolest party. No duh!
The 5th floor dance party features DJ Bonics and live music with DJ Cake in the Great Hall. That alone will make for an awesome night. No need to bounce. Capture all the memories the old school way with the ‘90s themed photo booth. Booyah!
Make sure to sing some classics with your friends at the throwback karaoke. If you don’t want to, that’s fine. Whatever. But you can also enjoy ‘90s arcade and video games courtesy of Next Level Gaming. Now that’s phat.
Your tickets also gets you access to six floors of “award-winning exhibitions and collections, including the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.” So fly!
Dress Like the 90’s!
The Heinz History Center dancefloor is going to look like it’s 1995. “Think slip dresses and platforms, flannels and combat boots, and Starter jackets and kicks so clean the Fresh Prince would do a double take.” If you don’t dress up, you’re going to look lame…NOT! Oh snap. You’ll still have a good time.
Anyway, you’ll also get admission to the History Center & Western PA Sports Museum, two drink tickets (and a cash bar), drinks from PA Libations and Penn Brewery, and a chance to “win fly prizes at the Silent Auction.” Word!
Great Food From the Best Local Restaurants!
While enjoying all the fun things going on, there will be a number of food stations. This is da bomb!
This includes: Bar Marco, Betsy Ann Chocolates, Bigham Tavern, Burgatory, Cilantro & Ajo, Dive Bar & Grille, Eddie Merlot’s, Fl.2/Fairmont Hotel, Hyeholde Restaurant, Sienna Mercato, Sullivan’s Steakhouse Pittsburgh, and Wildwoods Craft Kitchen and Catering.
This is going to be all that and a bag of chips! (Yeah, that one was inevitable.)
