Coined in 2010 on the popular sitcom Parks and Recreation, Galentine’s Day on February 13th, has surpassed its origin as a fake holiday and is now widely celebrated by the female masses. With less than a week out from it, we have compiled a list of four ways for you and your girls to celebrate while remaining socially distant and safe.

Whether your girls are out of town or you’re not comfortable gathering in person just yet, we have the perfect alternative for you. Gather up your favorite local wine, sweets and treats, candles, flowers, and self-care items and have an online watch party of your favorite cheesy romcom movie. Don’t know where to start? Go Bottomless! (With brunch of course)

Is Galentine’s Day even a thing without endless mimosas and yummy eats? Put on your fanciest digs and floppy hats and sit down for bottomless brunch with your gal pals. Several yoga studios in the ‘burgh are offering socially distant classes in addition to virtual options. Attend or Host a Paint and Sip Night

Unleash your inner Picasso with a paint and sip night. Host it at home for a socially distant night of fun or make it virtual! All you’ll need is the wine, cocktail, or mocktail of your choice, a canvas, paint brush, paint, and inspiration! Purchase your supplies from the local arts and crafts store of your choice, a few to choose from are Artist and Craftsman Supply Pittsburgh and Blick Art Materials. If you’re too busy to host here are a few a local art studios with availability for booking this weekend: Kiln -N- Time, Kolor – N – Kiln, and Art Party Pittsburgh (they bring all of the supplies including an instructor directly to you).
