We love Pittsburgh Restaurant Week. It’s the perfect excuse to visit restaurants we’ve been meaning to try but haven’t gotten to yet. This week, we crossed another restaurant off our must-try list with The Vandal.
We know, we know, we’re seriously behind the times for not getting there sooner. And we’ll definitely go back! But we absolutely could not pass up their restaurant week menus – lunch especially caught our eye. Crispy chicken sandwich? Wild mushroom mac and cheese? It’s like they created the menu just for us *heart eyes* Plus – bonus – going for lunch means we can try two restaurants in one day!
Or, you know, just head back for dinner. Don’t judge. The first and second courses sound amazing, but can we talk about how drool-worthy the white chocolate panna cotta and the poached pear tart sound? We can’t even.
With their neighborhood cafe vibe, it’s the kind of place you can sit and catch up and sip on something tasty. Don’t feel like dining in? The Vandal does take-out, too.
One thing to note: they have a brunch menu Saturday and Sunday from 9a-2p and don’t offer the Restaurant Week deals, although the crispy chicken sandwich does make an appearance. And FYI? That’s the same crispy chicken sandwich that Food Network just named as one of the top 30 fried chicken sandwiches in America. But even if you go for brunch or opt to order off their regular menu, we think you’ll leave happy.
Head to The Vandal for their Winter Restaurant Week menu from January 13-19.
