About Best Bites Downtown
On this self-guided food and drink tour, explore Downtown Pittsburgh’s vibrant food scene and experience fun holiday festivities all at once! From 12pm – 4pm, have a jolly time walking around Downtown and indulging in refreshing drinks and tasty bites.
Try the best bites and best drinks at the newest places in the city without having to wait for a table or a spot at the bar! This holiday edition of Best Bites features plenty of new and exciting places, like holiday popup bars, Instagram-worthy atmospheres and up-and-coming eateries with expert mixologists.
Trying 16 different tasting stops in a 4-hour timeframe is the BEST way to get a taste of the city. Bring your foodie friends and family along, and find your new favorite Downtown destination!

AURORA at Mellon Square
While you’re tasting your way from Market Square to Penn Avenue, make your way over to the magical sights of AURORA at Mellon Square. Seeing this radiant light installation — presented by Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy — will create a perfect blend of festive cheer and culinary exploration in the heart of the city.
In the holiday spirit, a portion of Best Bites proceeds will be donated to the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy to support their work in bringing life and magic to Pittsburgh’s parks. This is a beautiful light display that cultivates community, joy and light. You won’t want to miss it!
