Come Together with the Moon Parks Foundation for their third annual community fundraising event, “Here Comes the Sun Summer Kickoff.” The event features special guests BEATLEMANIA NOW, a live on-stage Beatles tribute band that will surely have you feeling that 60’s groove.

Enjoy the Good Day Sunshine at the Summer Kickoff

On Friday, May 31st from 4:30pm – 9pm (rain date June 1) Moon Park transforms into a bounce-housing, carnival-gaming, food-trucking, music-filled destination to start your summer.

The event will also feature raffles, rock climbing walls, mini golf, a “Let It Beer” Garden, and more. Music starts at 7pm. This is an all ages fundraising event where all are welcome to attend.

Be Sure to Get Your Ticket to Ride

A $20 “ride-all-night” wristband can be purchased and includes unlimited play on the bounce houses, rock climbing wall, and mini golf course which will run from 4:30 – 8:30pm.

Let It Be in the Beer Garden

$10 will get you access to the “Let It Beer” beer garden which will include free samples from several local breweries as well as beverages for purchase. Plus, get a chance to win a grand prize package just for entering the beer garden.

Carnival [of Light] Games

Money That’s What I Want you to bring since there is no ATM on-site, but you’ll need it as there are plenty of cash carnival games for you to play.

You Win Again at the Raffle Tent

I’ve Got a Feeling that if raffles are your thing you’ll also want to be sure to visit the grand prize raffle tent from 5pm – 9pm for your chance to win a prize every 10 minutes or less. Prizes will include tickets to several local area attractions, hotel night certificates, baskets, gift cards, and more!

With a Little Help From My Friends

This year, with your Help!, the event will raise funds for the addition of shade structure(s) installed around the splash pad and playground areas, permanent games (corn hole, ladder ball, etc.) installed throughout Moon Park, and brand-new picnic tables (made from recycled materials).

A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to the UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation to help support over 50 specially trained service dogs visiting with patients through the Pet Friends program. It also supports patient access to the state-of-the-art 2,000 square foot Creative Arts Therapy Space and 13 medical-free playrooms.
