Looking for a fun winter festival with tons of unique ice sculptures? Here’s your answer! The 29th Annual Somerset Fire & Ice Festival happens January 12th – 14th.

It’s an “annual celebration of the winter season–and this year, an aquarium in ICE.” The packed weekend has amazing ice sculptures, fireworks, live music, food trucks, and local brews. Here are the details!

“Under the Sea” Ice Sculptures and Exhibits

Each day has a big list of things going on. First off, there’s going to be 50+ sculptures with an “Under the Sea” theme! You’ll get to check out everything from “Anglerfish to Narwal to Pineapples Under The Sea featured on the sidewalks up historic Uptown Somerset.” You won’t believe how impressive this looks in person.

Also, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History will be there for their “fur, feathers, and scales mini museum.” The Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium will have the “International Conservation Center Sea & Land Turtle Exhibit.” Very cool!

Things to Do at the Festival

During each day, you’ll find so many interesting things to check out. Warm-up with the fire pits, and fire shows. Live music and fireworks are scheduled throughout the weekend too!

Take a unique carriage ride or warm up in the indoor marketplace with 30+ vendors. For the people wanting to exercise, get ready for the annual Fire & Ice 5k run/walk!

Kids can try the ice slide in the park. The list of activities also includes the Photo Scavenger Hunt, model railroad, and used book sale.

Food and Drinks at the Festival

Somerset will feature their best food trucks during the event. They include Pappy D’s BBQ, Mountain Kettle Korn, Missy LaLa’s Biscotti, Stairs in Town Restaurant, Rollie Pollie Egg Roll, Rosalinda’s, and Due Chef Pazzi.

Make sure to enjoy the Fireside Lounge too. Trailhead Brewing Co., Rusty Musket Distillery, and Ponfeigh Distillery will be there!
