Pittsburgh’s first and premier women-owned market, Babes and Bubbles, is back for another summer! It’s a fresh pop-up event that “transcends the ordinary and celebrates the extraordinary.” Enjoy women-owned businesses, cocktails, live music, and shopping. Plus, it’s a free event!
They’ll kick off with a special Mother’s Day event on Sunday, May 11th (11am-3pm). Each event will take place on the last Sunday of every month from June-August.
“Babes and Bubbles is a celebration of the dynamic spirit of women-owned businesses, featuring an eclectic array of products from 40+ businesses, live music on the Women Who Rock pop-up stage, and bubbly and wine tasting from City Winery Pittsburgh.”
The outdoor event features “vintage and boutique clothing, jewelry, handmade candles, artisanal food, bath and body products and bubbly, all highly curated with care.”
Get ready for some awesome live music! The cool thing about these events is that each date has live local female musicians on the Women Who Rock pop-up stage. This will feature performances from 2024 WWR Rising Star Contest Winner Grace Campbell as well as DJ Femi, The Mingo Creek Band, and more to be announced.
In a press release, founder Melinda Colaizzi talked about the importance of each event. “We are excited to continue and expand our partnership with The [Strip District] Terminal and another signature event focused on vibrant women-owned businesses. In Pennsylvania, nearly 40 percent of our small businesses are owned by women,” Colaizzi said. “Supporting women-owned businesses in Pittsburgh means more than just purchasing products or services. It’s about empowering female entrepreneurs, fostering economic growth, and promoting gender equality in the local community. By choosing to support women-owned businesses, you’re investing in dreams and aspirations.”
Some of the vendors participating include: Seaton Three, 412 Flowers, Minimo Jewelry, Wicks & Wax Studio, Happy Plant Botanicals. “Babes and Bubbles isn’t just an event; it’s a Women Who Rock production—a celebration of empowered women, creativity, and community, where every moment is infused with the spirit of possibility and empowerment.”
