We know itโ€™s tempting to spend all your moola on Black Friday deals, but be sure to start saving for and planning for your Small Business Saturday shopping ahead of time.

Itโ€™s important to #ShopLocal to support local entrepreneurs and neighborhood small businesses, especially when every nook and cranny of Pittsburgh is full of them! Steer clear of those big box stores this year and give love to some of our great local businesses.

Every neighborhood has great options, but to save you a little leg work here are a few weโ€™ve handpicked to jump start your local spending spree.

Downtown Pittsburgh

Downtown boasts a somewhat compact business district, which is pretty handy for getting all of your holiday shopping done 1-2-3. Or you can just fill your belly with some great local fare. All within a few blocks youโ€™ll find businesses like love, Pittsburgh, Nicholas Coffee Co, Oliver Flower Shop, and Market St Grocery.ย

Southside

A fine stroll along E Carson Street, and its numerous side streets, will take you past numerous small businesses – like Fireborn Studios, Pittsburgh Stuff Nโ€™at, and La Bodega Taqueria.

Shadyside

A walk in the heart of Shadyside along Walnut Street is sure to inspire you to support many small businesses, like Kards Unlimited, Eons Fashion Antique, Henne Jewelers, and Prantlโ€™s Bakery.

Lawrenceville

Go end-to-end along Butler Street (as well as Penn Ave) and youโ€™ll pass so many small businesses along the way, like City Grows, Songbird Artistry, Mi Empanada, and Engine House 25 Wines. (PS. And donโ€™t forget about the Cookie Tour on December 11th.)

Allentown

In recent years the Hilltop has sprouted up a number of businesses from cool to odd. Head for the hills and check out places like Baron Batch, Dr. Tumbletyโ€™s Apothecary, and The Weeping Glass.ย

Bloomfield

Pittsburghโ€™s โ€œLittle Italyโ€ offers more than just a taste of Italy. On and around Liberty Ave youโ€™ll find a range of small business goodies like White Whale Bookstore, Gryphonโ€™s Tea House, Friendship Perk & Brew, Spill the Wine Bar, and Tessaroโ€™s.ย ย
