We know it’s tempting to spend all your moola on Black Friday deals, but be sure to start saving for and planning for your Small Business Saturday shopping ahead of time.
It’s important to #ShopLocal to support local entrepreneurs and neighborhood small businesses, especially when every nook and cranny of Pittsburgh is full of them! Steer clear of those big box stores this year and give love to some of our great local businesses.
Every neighborhood has great options, but to save you a little leg work here are a few we’ve handpicked to jump start your local spending spree.
Downtown Pittsburgh
Downtown boasts a somewhat compact business district, which is pretty handy for getting all of your holiday shopping done 1-2-3. Or you can just fill your belly with some great local fare. All within a few blocks you’ll find businesses like love, Pittsburgh, Nicholas Coffee Co, Oliver Flower Shop, and Market St Grocery.
Southside

A fine stroll along E Carson Street, and its numerous side streets, will take you past numerous small businesses – like Fireborn Studios, Pittsburgh Stuff N’at, and La Bodega Taqueria.
Shadyside

A walk in the heart of Shadyside along Walnut Street is sure to inspire you to support many small businesses, like Kards Unlimited, Eons Fashion Antique, Henne Jewelers, and Prantl’s Bakery.
Lawrenceville
