Small Business Saturday is right around the corner, and this year, one of Pittsburgh’s most beloved small businesses has something big to celebrate – a new flagship storefront!

PGH Candle announced that the opening day of its new brick-and-mortar location at 839 Phineas Street will be on November 26, a.k.a. Small Business Saturday, and if you’re ready to stock up on one of the easiest yet most appreciated handmade gifts you can give this holiday season, mark your calendars now!

For more than six years, PGH Candle has been a leading maker of home fragrance products, including its wildly popular soy wax candle series. All of its products are produced in small batches, hand poured, and made of 100% soy wax that offers extended burn times and strong scents that are “inspired by the simple pleasures in life.”

You’ve probably seen their candles in shops all around the city, but this is the first time PGH Candle will have a dedicated storefront all to itself. To celebrate, the shop is featuring a very special free gift for in-store orders over $100 on opening day, which means you can cross tons of amazing gifts off your list at once and get a treat for yourself!

Looking for tips on what to get? To start, PGH Candle’s “Neighborhoods” series is one of the most popular that it carries, with candles for several of the ‘Burgh’s most well-known ‘hoods from Lawrenceville and Dahntahn to Mount Washington and the Strip. Everyone who calls one of these neighborhoods home will love to receive a Neighborhoods candle!

The shop also carries its “Shine” series, inspired by the earthy and unique scents of incense, its “Palm Stone” series inspired by the power of crystals and topped with a gemstone resting on the top layer of wax,and its “Wildflowers of Pennsylvania” candle that comes with a paper seed label you can plant to grow wildflowers native to PA!

In addition to candles, the flagship storefront will offer candle accessories such as decorative matches, body products like soaps and balms, and even gifts and home goods like cards, planters and more – many with a Pittsburgh flavor, of course. The shop also carries at-home candle building kits, which have been popular with DIYers and even inspired a “Fill Your Own Jar Night” on Thursdays at the new storefront with your choice of scented soy wax!

To learn more about all that PGH Candle offers, visit pghcandle.com or visit the shop – it’ll be open seven days a week after its grand opening, from 11am-7pm Monday-Saturday and 11am-6pm on Sundays. Best of all – there’s plenty of parking!
