Meet Rhylee Stone! Rhylee began Stone Clay Co. in 2022 as an expression for handcrafting polymer clay jewelry.
The pieces she creates reflect not only her artistic vision but also the desire to capture the elegance of nature. She’s making new waves in the jewelry and art industries, and we got a chance to learn about her craft.
What inspired you to create your company?
It all started with a love for creating something beautiful with my own two hands. I’ve always been drawn to unique, handcrafted pieces that tell a story—jewelry that feels just as special as the person wearing it. I’ve been making different types of jewelry including beaded and glass for the past 15 years. I came across polymer clay jewelry that someone was wearing, and I was so intrigued! I watched several YouTube videos at the time, and what began as a simple hobby quickly turned into a full-blown passion.
Before I knew it, Stone Clay Co. was born in 2022. The brand is inspired by both simple and intricate designs, unique textures, beautiful color combinations, and the idea that the little details can make the biggest impact. I set out to create pieces that are as effortless as they are eye-catching. Every pair is made with love, intention, and the hope that it will become a favorite in your jewelry collection!
Tell us about your products made from polymer clay.
I am so passionate about polymer clay earrings for many reasons, but the simple fact is that they are lightweight—most of my earrings weigh less than a quarter! Despite their delicate appearance, they’re durable and flexible, making them comfortable for all-day wear. Each pair is uniquely designed, often featuring intricate textures, bold colors, and artistic shapes. The beauty of polymer clay is its endless creative potential—every piece is handcrafted with care, making no two exactly alike! Every piece is designed to be full of personality. From minimal everyday staples to bold statement pieces, each collection is thoughtfully crafted.
What are you most proud of since launching Stone Clay Co.?
I’m so proud of how far Stone Clay Co. has come in such a short time! Every collection is a reflection of my love for creativity, from the textured designs to the bold, statement-making pieces. But what truly makes me proud is seeing how many people love, and wear these earrings daily. I have return customers, and some who even own upwards of 30 pairs! It makes me incredibly happy and proud knowing that my creations are part of someone’s everyday look, making them feel confident and unique.
I also love working with warm hues, like shades of blue, and those pieces always end up being my favorite. However, anytime I try a new technique, and it turns out how I imagine (or better!) I do a little happy dance!
What does the future hold for Stone Clay Co.?
The future is full of exciting possibilities! I’m dreaming of expanding my collections, while growing my website, working with new color recipes that I’m constantly creating, plus working with new textures and designs that push creative boundaries. Most importantly, I’m excited to connect with my customers and continue meeting new people. The best is yet to come!
