When we say we are shocked we haven’t heard more about this INCREDIBLE spa experience, we are serious. Luckily, we are here to spill all of the details about this local luxury experience!
Located in the quaint town of Aspinwall near other family-owned businesses, ESSpa invites you to a one-of-a-kind experience. As a full-service salon, there is a treatment perfect for everyone. You might even find a number of services you want to try out so you can make a day of it! In fact, one convenient feature of ESSpa is their second-floor meeting space where you can host a group for a bachelorette spa day, birthday celebration, or just a day of pampering! You can bring in snacks, cake, or even a fully catered meal. If you don’t want to deal with the ordering, ESSpa is happy to place a catering order on your behalf at Feast On Brilliant, a local catering company! They do not charge for the usage of this meeting space, which makes it double as convenient!
If you’ve never been to ESSpa before, something that will be very apparent when you first enter, is the European theme. The salon is separated into several different rooms and sections based on the treatment you are there for. My favorite thing about the layout and decor is the warmth and calming tones throughout the spa. A lot of people think of bright white and clean when they think about spa aesthetic, but at ESSpa, the hand-painted walls and low, warm lighting brings such a calming ambiance. Some of the different rooms are themed to different iconic locations in Europe such as Lake Como, Paris, and Amsterdam. The owner, Eva, had a friend come in and paint each of the rooms to reflect the well-known features of each European location. The salon section, where you can receive full hair services, has more of a modern spa look with bright white vibes and greenery throughout. You might even notice the woman in a lot of the photos around the salon looks familiar….and that’s because it is Eva herself at a young age! She truly looks like a movie star. When we found out they were photos of her, she told us she and her husband have a little battle going on because she removes the photos and her husband insists on putting them back up to show off his stunning wife, since she is too humble to do so.
The details don’t stop at the thoughtful decor and ambiance. Taking a look at their services and treatments, ESSpa has everything from manicures and pedicures to organic facials to keratin hair treatments. Eva, has brought her decades of experience in traditional organic facials to the US and has acquired a staff of well-trained and knowledgeable estheticians, stylists, etc. Her team will make your experience truly one to remember.
I had the opportunity to visit the salon and experience Eva’s facial techniques firsthand. This facial was so detailed and in-depth that I left feeling completely rejuvenated! Eva first asked questions about my skin and specifics relating to how it reacts to certain products and which products I use daily. She also asked if I had previously had any facial treatments and if so, what were my favorite and least favorite parts. Lastly, she wanted to know if there was one thing I would want out of the facial, what it would be (I was looking mostly for detox and minimization of pores). This is something that truly sets Eva apart from other businesses. She truly caters the facial to your personal experiences and skin — it isn’t a “one size fits all” facial.
Aside from facials, Eva is also a reflexologist so she does an incredible job of adding the little details to heighten your experience. During my facial, there were times when she would place certain masks or lotions on my face and while it was absorbing or doing its work, she massaged my hands, feet, and muscles surrounding my neck and shoulders. Everything that she does speaks, and the warm lavender neck towel and tealight candles gave the relaxation a whole new level.

It has been over 2 weeks since I visited and have personally seen such an improvement in my skin just by following her recommendations that are simple to keep up with such as making sure I exfoliate daily and promote blood flow to my facial tissue. Truly an unforgettable experience!
