We’ve been shopping in a different neighborhood each week throughout the holidays.

For our final week we’re in Sewickley. Like Walnut St is to Shadyside, Beaver St is to Sewickley; join us as we stroll through this adorable town’s boutique shops.

House 15143

Each item in House 15143 (436 Beaver St) is hand-selected by founder/owner/friends Danielle Franks and Kristin Bordeau who believe “old is new, less is more, color is king”. Here you’ll find fun home accents, custom art prints, luxury candles, and even vintage treasures. New Year’s resolutions don’t just have to be all about you, you can also give your home some elf-on-the-self-improvement by utilizing their decorating services like paint color consulting.

Bellwether

A lifestyle store that caters to all women, Bellwether (447 Beaver St) offers something for every part of your life – clothing, accessories, and home. They also have bath & beauty items (like this Buttercup & Thistle Salt Soak) so you can soak up the holidays long after they’re officially over.

Mediterra Cafe

From their ambience to their coffee, pastries, and charcuterie, at Mediterra Cafe (430 Beaver St) you will think you’ve dined and gone to heaven or at least to the finest European cafe. This family-owned and operated breakfast and lunch spot serves delectable dishes, many made on/with their beloved handcrafted breads. Made with the finest ingredients and time-honored techniques, their artisanal bread imparts such savory goodness to their toasts, pizzas, and sandwiches.

Gather

“We Gather. You Give” is the on point slogan for Gather (424 Beaver St). Gather features intentionally selected gifts, decor, and seasonal goods primarily sourced from local artisans and emerging new brands. Their two-story shop is the perfect place to wander through slowly and enjoy while also finding those perfect giftable items for all your holiday gatherings (like these hand thrown ceramic mugs). Their window displays are carefully crafted; bringing a whole new meaning to the term “window shop”. Walk by any day and you’ll feel it radiating a “welcome home” vibe.

Cuttings Flower & Garden Market

Spreading holiday cheer one bouquet at a time, Cuttings Flower & Garden Market (524 Locust Pl) is a lifestyle marketplace that provides quality flowers and flower arrangements along with home and garden decor. Orders can be delivered, but if you’re able you should swing by their building to see their interior display expertise firsthand. Available for home consultations, you can even use Cuttings for your next party, event, or holiday decorating needs.

Fun Buy The Pound Toy Store

Despite popular legend, Santa’s elves aren’t located at the North Pole. Instead, they’re at Fun Buy The Pound Toy Store (406 Beaver St) in Sewickley. Want to build and buy LEGOs or K’nex by the weight rather than by the kit? At FBTP you can do just that. While the store started out with that simple concept, the store has since grown to include many other products from top-tier and well-loved toy brands like Melissa & Doug, Playmobil, and TY. Best of all they have an incredible play area where you can just come in and play with toys!
