As we start to move towards the end of summer, I know that I’m still clinging onto my iced lattes until the last possible second. One of my favorite spots in Pittsburgh is Viridis, which is located in Southside.

Not only is it the cutest cafe, with a lot of plants and greenery, the cafe itself offers plant-based food, pastries, and drinks. My personal favorite pastries are the brioche donuts, but they offer a variety of goodies such as croissants, cheesecakes, and more as specials.

On the savory side of things is where Viridis really shines. With specials like Chik’n sandwiches, biscuit breakfast sandwiches, and more, I have a hard time deciding if I want savory goods or sweets, so I usually end up getting both.

Aside from delicious eats, Viridis offers amazing coffees. My personal favorite is an iced latte, with cold brew brown sugar. With plenty of non-dairy milk options, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

While Viridis is plant-based, and perfect for the vegans in your life, I promise that even if you’re not vegan, you will love Viridis!
