Hurry up and get your tickets to the Gardens of Millvale’s “Garden to Table Dinner” — Ticket sales end September 1!

This is the first-ever Garden to Table Dinner in the Gardens of Millvale and the four-course pre-fixe menu is being created by chef Greg Austin from 412 Food Rescue’s Good Food Project. The menu will utilize vegetables and herbs grown in the Gardens of Millvale’s garden.

The menu features yellow squash hummus, homemade veggie chips, garden panzanella salad, purple kale and nasturtium greens pesto with grilled banana pepper on linguine with sausage, and peach+herb crisp with local ice cream. Dishes can be adjusted for vegetarians, vegans, gluten free, and dairy free.

The Gardens of Millvale strives to “create a food independent community through education, preservation, and sustainability” and all the funds from the dinner go back into their efforts to create food security in the community.

The dinner is sure to delight — from the food, to the outdoor garden environment, to the knowledge Chef Austin will be sharing. Oh and don’t forget the drinks! Lucky Sign Spirits will be making a signature event cocktail using herbs from the garden. You can also BYOB.

The event takes place on Saturday, September 11 from 6:00PM-8:30PM at the Gardens of Millvale (22 Butler St Millvale PA 15209). The cost is $50 per ticket.
