The pierogi gods have spoken, and this year’s 2022 Pittsburgh Pierogi Festival returns earlier this September, and no other than on a Friday night, a first for the festival. Pierogi lovers can rejoice and enjoy the food festival under Kennywood lights on Friday, September 9, 2022, from 4:30 pm – 9:30 pm.

And ‘rogis are ramping up and on roller coasters, no less! Here’s what to expect at this year’s festival: Enjoy free parking and access to seven Kennywood rides including the Steel Curtain, Racer, Jack Rabbit, Kangaroo, Merry-GoRound, Turtle, and Noah’s Ark. Catch The Pirates Racing Pierogies for meet & greet opportunities throughout the day and keep your eyes peeled… they have been known to hop on the rides and rollercoasters when you least expect it! Plus, the food is packed to the brim with over 100 pierogi and pierogi-inspired dishes from a variety of vendors along with a warm welcome from four out-of-state vendors from Michigan, Ohio, Texas, and Georgia.

As you down some pierogis among the delicious hype, take a stroll through the Pop-up Pierogi Marketplace for delectable pierogi and ‘Burgh-inspired handmade products, listen to live music and paint your cares away with Paint Monkey’s “Paint Your Own Pierogi,” free to all ages. There’s plenty of festival news to get buttered up to, so make sure to hit every corner and even get a chance to win a lifetime Pittsburgh Pierogi Pass and a variety of other prizes, thanks to Rohrich Toyota. As the City of Champions, we love good competition so VOTE for the People’s Choice winners! Last year’s winners included Gosia’s Pierogies taking the top title of 1st with 2nd place winner being Scratch & Co. and The Pierogi Lady taking 3rd place.

Pre-sale GA tickets will be available for sale up to and including the day of the festival with online ticket sales closing at 3:30 p.m. on September 9, 2022. Pierogi festival goers should visit Showclix.com and SEARCH Pittsburgh Pierogi festival.
