We love meal delivery services. Ok, you’re right, we love anything that makes our lives easier, and meal delivery services are obviously included. Which is why we’re so excited to add these three to our list!
Remedy Kitchen
Remedy Kitchen is delivering amazing vegan foods to Pittsburgh neighborhoods. Michelle is a busy wife, mom, and business owner who knows how hard it can be to get a nutritious dinner on the table while balancing a hectic schedule. She believes that eating a plant-based diet – and being thoughtful about our food sources and choices – can help both us and our planet be healthier. Their menus are announced on Tuesdays, and orders are due Sunday night. Meals are delivered the following Sunday.
One thing that really stuck out about how Remedy Kitchen works is that all of their packaging is reusable. Think glass jars, silicone zip top bags, and mesh produce bags. Simply rinse the containers after you eat your meals, and they’ll be picked up for sterilization the following week. We also love the variety of choices Remedy offers: breakfast burritos, main dishes for lunches and dinners, and their sauces, dressings, and toppings. Check out their menu and order today!
Allianna’s Kitchen
Allianna’s Kitchen is run by Allianna, who grew up dealing with health issues. After changing her diet and lifestyle, she started thriving, which prompted her to want to help others make their health a priority. Her services are especially geared towards people following Paleo, Whole30, and AIP diets – and she has tons of recipes you can make yourself. We love that each recipe is labeled with diets like Paleo or Keto and allergens, like gluten-free and dairy-free!
Allianna offers her personal chef services for small to medium in-home parties, as well as in-person and virtual cooking classes. She even does team building corporate cooking classes. Her meal services are based on your dietary needs. All of the meals she makes are naturally dairy, soy, and gluten free and can be made for individual or family portions. She’s made meals following a number of diets, making her the perfect choice if you have special dietary needs. Get in touch to talk with her about becoming a client.
Mindy’s Take and Bake
Mindy’s Take and Bake feels like the speak-easy of meal delivery services…there’s no website (yet…it’s coming soon), just an Instagram (that has us drooling). For now, you sign up for the email list using the link in their bio. The menu is sent out on Mondays, and you place your order via Google Form by Wednesday. Orders are confirmed on Thursdays, payment is due by Saturday, and delivery to Allegheny County happens on Sunday.
But let’s talk about the menu for a second. There are soups, quiches, biscuit sandwiches, lighter lunch options, heartier mains, and, of course, desserts. White asparagus and wild mushroom lentil bowl? Brown sugar and mustard rubbed pork tenderloin with caramelized shallot whisky pan sauce, sour cream and cheddar mashed redskin potatoes, roasted heirloom carrots and green beans? Be still our hearts. How about mochachino brownies with fudgey brownie, chocolate coffee buttercream, and chocolate ganache. Yeah, we thought you’d want to sign up for that email list right about now.
