Few things pair with a sunny day and a cold beverage quite like LIVE MUSIC! Of course, it’s always nice to have great food to accompany the live music and so that is why we have rounded up some of the best spots in Pittsburgh for great eats, refreshing drinks, and some rockin’ live music!
Hofbrauhaus
This German-inspired brewery is located in the Southside Works Shopping Center. As one could imagine, it’s hard to have steins of beer without some good old-fashioned music to go along with it! Hofbrauhaus has live music provided by Steve Grkman and Grkman/Stemple Duo each Friday-Sunday. Stop into Hofbra and enjoy the indoor German vibes or the lively Biergarten vibes along the river. The classic German-inspired cuisine and their monthly beer special go together perfectly!
1700 Penn
This outdoor lot attached to the Helltown Taproom and PA Libations is your next stop for pup-friendly drinks and great tunes. 1700 Penn, located in the Strip at, you guessed it, 1700 Penn Avenue, is the perfect spot to gather with friends day or night. This spacious lot is filled with picnic tables and goes on a first come first serve basis. Live music will be happening throughout the summer Thursdays through Sundays. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays have performances beginning at 6 pm and additionally, Saturdays and Sundays have performances at 1 pm. Head to their website for the monthly schedule of live music. You will find artists such as Tony Campbell, Sierra Sellers, and The Evergreens on the lineup for June. When the sun sets, the twinkle lights strung across the lot will light up and create a nice ambiance for brews and jamming with friends.
For drinks and food, it’s all very simple at 1700 Penn. They have Aviva Brick Oven on-site whipping up their homemade brick oven pizzas and small bites. If you want to place an order, head up to the stand and they’ll give you a number that you’ll display at your table. When your food is done, it’ll be brought right to you. For drinks, there is a truck where you can order canned beers, draft beers, canned cocktails, and more from Helltown Brewing and other local spots!
Kingfly Spirits
Kingfly is located in the Strip District and is your stop for craft cocktails and live entertainment of all sorts! Each Thursday night you can find live music at their distillery. On odd weekends you might find live music as well or even a comedy show depending on the week! Be sure to check their Facebook page to see who is performing and if there will be a cover charge. Enjoy the tunes or comedy with one of their handcrafted cocktails. Highlights include their refreshing floral daiquiri, Venezuela sour, or their Caribbean old fashioned. Feel free to grab a pizza from the nearby Pizza Davide and bring it in to enjoy with your cocktails!
Narcisi Winery
Narcisi Winery can be found in Gibsonia and is the perfect space for family, friends, coworkers, or date night! The winery has a large indoor seating capacity with smaller areas for hosting a private meal as well as an abundance of outdoor seating for the restaurant menu and their bar menu. Dine under the vines with their full menu or head out to the large field in front of their entertainment stage to enjoy a wine slushie or a bottle with your friends! You can stop over to the bar and order some of their small plates and incredible wood-fired pizzas to enjoy while listening to the live music.
Be sure to check their website for up-to-date listings of their weekly live bands on certain Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. You will find all different genres from rock n roll, to blues, folk-rock, and more!

This gorgeous restaurant in Seven Fields is the perfect spot for daytime or nighttime entertainment. Big Spring has artists perform on different Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, all listed on their website under the events calendar. Most artists perform solo, however, you will find the occasional trio! This relaxed environment is a great place for a cocktail and delicious menu item.
