In Beer We Truss
On Friday, December 11 Pittsburgh gains a new nano-brewery: Truss Brewing.
Truss Brewing is holding their soft launch opening from 4p-11p on Friday and again on Saturday from 4p-11p. Going forward their hours will be Wednesdays through Saturdays from 4p-11p.
Location: 42 Old Clairton Road Pittsburgh Pa 15236 — It’s just off Route 51/Curry Hollow Rd; behind the Bill Green Shopping Center.
It’s a small establishment born of the pandemic as it offers no indoor seating. The beer and food are for takeout and delivery only. Delivery is free within a 3-mile radius.
To order on-site you will walk in (mask on) and order at the counter then take your beverages and/or food to go.
The opening day tap list includes an IPA, porter, brown, hefeweizen, sweet potato ale, pear seltzer, and a medieval Dutch 3-grain ale.
The food menu will likely vary based on what the outside wood oven and creativity allows – though initially planned are wood-fired pizzas and a few other items.
