Owned by Independent Brewing Company, a tavern and restaurant that exclusively serves beer produced by primarily Pittsburgh-based independently-owned breweries, IBC Bottle Shop Nโ€™at is open daily from 12 to 9 for takeout beer, wine, and cocktails. The bottle shop was created due to the dine-in restaurant being closed due to the pandemic.ย

The bottle shop serves one of a kind to-go cocktails from Independent Brewing and its sibling restaurant Hidden Harbor and is one of the first businesses in the city to offer bottled cocktails for purchase. One of the more popular sellers is the bottled Negroni,  equal parts London dry gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari that comes in a glass flask covered with a custom label created by Alternate Histories. In addition to beverages the bottle shop offers โ€œNโ€™atโ€, a selection of gifts of designs from local artists including glassware, jewelry, stickers, magnets, and much more!

The Independent has also recently started offering select sidewalk seating where you can enjoy the increasingly nice weather, a cocktail, and a bite to eat from 4 to 9. Try their fried chicken sandwich served on a bun made in-house by Chef Dianne topped with white cheddar, bacon, tomato jam, pickled red onions, and a honey Sriracha hot sauce.
