When the temperatures go down the festive cocktails come out. From harvest to holiday — we are taking advantage of this joyful season and filling our glasses with our favorite locally crafted spirits. We collected some of our absolute favorite go-to holiday cocktails we love to make at home. Hosting families and friends this season just got better. These cocktails are all crowd pleasers and perfect for staying toasty this time of year!

Spiked Eggnog

  • 3 cups of eggnog
  • ½  cup amaretto liquor
  • ¼  cup Maggie’s Farm White Rum
  • dash of ground nutmeg and cinnamon for garnish 
  • Combine all ingredients and shake, pour over ice and garnish with your nutmeg and cinnamon 

Mulled Wine

  • 1 bottle of red wine
  • 1 orange, sliced into rounds, plus more for garnish
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 3 cinnamon sticks, plus more for garnish
  • 3 star anise
  • ¼  cup honey
  • ½ cup brandy
  • In a medium saucepan combine all ingredients. Bring to a simmer (not boil) then reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer gently over low heat for about 10 minutes.

 Ginger Bell Cocktail 

  • 2 oz Quantum Spirits Whiskey
  • 2 sprigs fresh mint
  • ½ of one lemon
  • Fresh ginger, peeled and cut into small cubes
  • 1 bottle of ginger beer
  • 1 cup ice
  • ½ cup fresh cranberries for garnish
  • In a cocktail shaker, add whiskey, mint, lemon and fresh ginger and muddle. Add ice to the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for about 30 seconds. Strain into a glass and top with the ginger beer. Add cranberry garnish!

Dirty Snowmen

  • ¼ cup melted chocolate
  • ½ cup chocolate shavings
  • ½ pint vanilla ice cream
  • 2 cup hot chocolate
  • ½ cup Baileys
  • Whipped cream for garnish 
  • Pour melted chocolate and chocolate shavings into separate shallow dishes. Dip the rims of mugs in melted chocolate then chocolate shavings. Add a few scoops of ice cream into each mug. Pour hot chocolate and Baileys on top. Garnish with whipped cream and sprinkle with any extra chocolate shavings.

Jingle Juice

  • 4 cup Cran-Apple Juice
  • 2 bottles red Moscato
  • 1 bottle Prosecco
  • ½ cup Boyd and Blair Potato Vodka
  • 2 cup frozen cranberries
  • ⅓ cup mint leaves
  • ½ cup granulated sugar for rimming glasses
  • 2 limes, sliced into rounds
  • Using a wedge of lime, wet rim of glasses and dip in sugar. Combine all ingredients in a punch bowl, stir together and serve.

Candy Cane Cocktail

  • 1 candy cane, crushed, for garnish
  • 2 oz Boyd and Blair Potato Vodka
  • 4 dashes white creme de menthe
  • 2 ½ oz cranberry juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Wet the outside rim of a chilled martini glass with water and rotate the rim to coat with candy. In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, creme de menthe, cranberry juice, and ice. Shake until well combined and strain into prepared glass.

White Christmas Margaritas

  • 10 oz silver tequila
  • 8 oz grand marnier
  • 8 oz lime juice
  • 8 oz coconut water
  • 8 oz canned coconut milk
  • 6 oz coconut cream
  • 6 oz coconut rum
  • 6 oz simple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon coconut extract, if desired
  • sprigs of rosemary and fresh cranberries for garnish
  • Mix all ingredients together well. To make simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk constantly until the sugar dissolves and the mixture comes to a boil, then remove from heat and let cool completely.

Apple Cranberry Moscow Mule

  • 4 ounces Boyd and Blair Potato Vodka
  • ¼ cup cranberry juice
  • ½ cup sparkling apple juice
  • 2 ginger beers
  • fresh cranberries and sliced apples for garnish
  • Fill a pitcher with ice and add the vodka, cranberry juice, sparkling apple juice, and ginger beer. Garnish with cranberries and apples.

Pecan Pie Martini

  • 6 oz rumchata
  • 6 oz creme de cocoa
  • 3 oz Wigle Whiskey Pennsylvania Bourbon
  • Ice
  • 3 tbsp Caramel for garnish
  • ¼ cup toasted chopped pecans for garnish
  • Cool Whip for garnish
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon for garnish
  • Dip the rim of each glass first into caramel and then into chopped pecans to coat. Combine rumchata, creme de cocoa, and bourbon in a large cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and shake! Top with a dollop of whipped cream, pecans, and a dash of cinnamon.

Jack Frostie 

  • 1 cup Boyd and Blair Potato Vodka
  • 1 cup Prosecco
  • ½  cup Blue Curaçao
  • ½  cup lemonade
  • 6 cup ice
  • Lemon wedge, and white sanding sugar for garnish
  • Blend vodka, Prosecco, blue curaçao, lemonade, and ice. use a lemon wedge on the rim of each glass and allow sugar to stick. Pour and enjoy!

Mistletoe Mules 

  • Ice
  • 2 oz Boyd and Blair Potato Vodka
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 can of ginger beer
  • ¼ cup pomegranate seeds
  • Candy canes and mint sprigs for garnish
  • Pour 1 oz vodka and 1/2 oz lime juice over ice in copper mugs and top with ginger beer. garnish with pomegranate seeds, crushed and whole candy canes, and finished with a sprig of mint! 

Apple Cider Old Fashioned 

  • ½ c ice
  • ⅔  cup of apple cider
  • 2 oz Quantum Spirits Whiskey
  • 2 dashes Quantum Spirits Orange Bitters
  • Apple slices for garnish
  • Cinnamon sticks for garnish
  • Combine all ingredients in glass and stir. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

  Hot Toddy

  • 1½ oz Maggie’s Farm 50/50 Dark Rum 
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • ½ oz lemon juice
  • 1 cup hot water
  • Lemon wedge, cinnamon stick, and star anise for garnish
  • Combined ingredients into a mug. Garnish with lemon, cinnamon stick, and star anise.
