The 4th annual Ya Jagoff! Podcast Summer Porch Tour- sponsored by J&D Waterproofing– will be launching its biggest party yet on four randomly selected porches. Kicking off in July, expect locally inspired food, live music, Pittsburgh staple-packed prizes, celebrity guests, and more ready to party at your porch step. The contest is free to the public and will be open until all four slots are filled, so don’t wait before it’s too late!
Each contest submission is as easy as relaxing on a porch with good conversation (and podcast mics, of course) on an easy, breezy summer afternoon. Starting today, contestants can email john@yajagoff.com with a picture of your porch and explain WHY Ya Jagoff! should pick YOUR porch! Be sure to include “Porch Tour” in the subject line of the email as well as your house address in the body of the email. After that, sit back and relax with your party shades on and leave the party planning to the jagoffs!
The following prizes will be awarded to each of the four (4) porch tour winners:
- 24 pieces of Ernie Ricci Sausage with Mancini’s Bakery rolls
- Mary Mac Bakehouse home-baked goods
- Heinz History Center (2) admission passes per porch
- Kennywood Park prize
- North Country Beer– six-pack of beer, ya jagoff!
- And a couple more surprise prizes!
The weekly YaJagoff! Podcast episodes will be recorded live on each selected porch, in which J&D Waterproofing and Home Improvements, the main sponsor for the Porch Tour podcast, will be joining the festivities. The podcast recording is about an hour in length with special guests in attendance at the party. You never know who will show up on your porch step!
We can’t help but party for good, too. Ya Jagoff! encourages each winner to use his/her resources by inviting friends and family to each porch party to see how many Zachary’s Mission, Zack Packs they can build during the hour of podcast recording. Each house will have a mission to build as many Zack Packs as possible. These bags will contain basic personal supplies for families in need during their long hospital stays, and the recommended supply list can be found here. Walmart gift cards are also great because Zachary Mission uses them to purchase other items like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
