Who says there’s nothing to do during winter?! Because there’s so much going on at the Fire & Ice Winter Carnival in Somerset, PA (January 14th – 16th)! The 27th annual event is huge, packed with fun activities and great food. And fantastic breweries as well! Each day features a variety of entertainment. During the winter carnival, you’ll find ice sculpture displays, an indoor marketplace, carriage rides, and the ice slide in the park. Here’s all the details on the all ages event!

On Friday you can have all the s’mores you want at the free s’mores station. You’ll also be amazed with master ice carvings and fireworks! Saturday features the annual Fire & Ice 5k run. Along with the soupsale, fire breather performance, hot stuff chili cook-off and so much more! The weekend also includes the Fire & Ice photo scavenger hunt, escape room, Laurel Highlands model railroad club Train display, used book and engraved brick sale, story stroll and more. So much to see!

Fireside Lounge

Stay toasty at the Fireside Lounge, which features beer, wine & Spirits! Sit back with Tall Pines Distillery, Disobedient Spirits, Whitehorse Brewery, Glades Park Winery, Rusty Market Distilling Co. Keep warm at the Fireside Lounge! 

Live Music

Awesome bands all weekend long! Friday’s live acts include the Upper Ursina Collective (5-7pm) the JD & Cindy Band (following the fireworks until 8pm), the Boomers Band (8-11pm). Saturday has Fellowship of the Strings Band (1-3pm), Red Law Band (3-5pm), Tim & Stacy (5-7pm), Krazy Kat Daddies (8-11pm). The event closes out on Sunday with Scott Ruffner & Allison Bored of the Laurel (11-1pm), Damon Shrift (1-3pm).  

Food Trucks

Warm up with delicious food! Check out these local food trucks: Pappy D’s, Stairs in Town, Mountain Kettle Korn, Twisted Potato, Rollie Pollie Egg Roll, Summit Diner, Klosky’s Hunky Cuisine. So good!
