Get ready to shake your brass at the PITTONKATONK May Day Brass BBQ & Potluck aka The Brass BBQ. This year will be bigger, louder, and brassier than ever.

What is Pittonkatonk? It’s “music without boundaries”. Think of it as a fusion of block party, neighborhood BBQ, and music festival. Band styles include: Balkan brass, activist marching bands, global hip hop, Cumbia, samba, and New Orleans swing.

No stage, no doors, no admission fee, no corporate sponsors, and nothing is for sale. Choose to bring shareable food/drink or choose just to come for the music, dancing, and “celebration of what music and community can really be”.

Date: Saturday May 11, 2019
Location: Vietnam Veteran’s Pavilion in Schenley Park, Pittsburgh, PA
Time: 12pm – 11pm
Ticket Price: No admission fee; all ages welcome

Basically it’s a party you must attend to fully comprehend it’s perfect mash-up of music and community. Oh, and did we mention it’s 11-hours of FREE music?
