Take a trip to the tropics! The National Aviary will have their fun-filled summer event known as “Night in the Tropics: Vintage Vacation” on July 16th. This year the Aviary celebrates their 70th anniversary so you know they are going all out. The 21+ over summer party supports animal care and conservation. This will be the most unique party all summer! Time to get tropic!

You’ll turn up the heat with unlimited food, signature cocktails, wine, and beer from Pittsburgh restaurants. Enjoy gourmet bites from Atria’s and Pittsburgh Barbecue Company. The hot summer night features live music from Pittsburgh’s own Steeltown band and live speed painting by Maria DeSimone Prascak of Maria’s Ideas. There’s also a Tahitian dance performance with island drumming by Tuika Polynesian Island Magic!

You can also win auction items while enjoying the night (you can do it from your home with the live virtual auction as well). According to the National Aviary website, you can bid on a number of prizes including: spa packages, artwork by renowned local artists including Pittsburgh artist Johno Prascak of Johno’s ART Studio (JohnosArt.com) and Maria DeSimone Prascak of Maria’s Ideas (MariasIdeas.com), a private owl banding session with the Aviary’s ornithologist, Bob Mulvihill, romantic staycations, and more!

While you’re dancing the night away be sure to check out The Garden Room, their new event space with “open air access to a gorgeous terrace and garden” and “lush habitats with beautiful birds at night”. Your vintage vacation to a night in the tropics is set!

All guests can enjoy free parking at Rivers Casino with free shuttle service. This also includes an ADA accessible shuttle to and from the party.
