It’s gonna be May–and the inevitable excitement of summer is almost here. With that in mind, this month brings in some fantastic outdoor events. Get up close and personal with wildlife at Zoo Brew, enjoy the peaceful glow of the Water Lantern Festival, and devour ribs at Kennywood Ribs and Blues Fest. Ahhh, summer is right around the corner.
Zoo Brew: Spring Hops- May 10 6pm-9:30pm- Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium

The annual BBQ hosts 15 brass bands from Pittsburgh to Havana. Their facebook says,“Our mission is to promote music performance as a means of achieving positive personal, social, and political outcomes.” The intimate musical performances will blow your mind!
Lawrenceville Art Crawl- May 18- 3pm-11:55 pm
Local art and music take over Butler Street for the annual Lawrenceville Art Crawl. Over 25 venues will showcase 150 artists and 30 bands displaying a wide variety of artwork and musical genres. According to their Facebook, “The Lawrenceville Art Crawl mission is to generate community-wide interest in local artists, musicians, performers, and small businesses.”

Pittsburgh Water Lantern Festival- May 25-5:30 pm-10:30 pm-Allegheny Commons Park
