Happy love month! Whether you’re single, in the honeymoon phase, or you have been wifed up for a while, celebrating love should be on your agenda. You don’t need a significant other to celebrate Valentine’s Day – thanks to Park and Recreation we now have Galentine’s Day! As Leslie Knope says, Galentine’s Day is a day for ladies to celebrate ladies! So grab your girls and head out to some of these local, fun-filled events and celebrate your love for one another.

Beyond Boss GALentine’s Day Vendor Pop-Up

Beyond Boss is a community of like-minded women who connect, collaborate and work together to empower each other.  They are teaming up with The Maverick, a co-working space conveniently located on Route 8 for their first ever GALentine’s Day Vendor Pop-up. The event takes place on Sunday, February 6th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and is free, however they will be raising money in support of the Women’s Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh. Their vendor line-up includes Lit Soy Candles, Pittsburgh House of Oils, Hanna’s Sweets and many more. No reservation is required – so grab your gals and treat yourself to a little local business shopping spree. 

The Beauty Boost Pittsburgh’s Self Love Workshop

Needing a little extra self-love? Bring along your friends or go solo to The Beauty Boost Pittsburgh’s Galentine’s Self-Love Workshop. The event takes place on Wednesday, February 9th at 6:30 PM at the PA Market in the Strip District. Tickets are $15 and include a 60-minute workshop from Certified Health and Life Coach Kristina Mazzenga and 10% off food and drinks at the PA Market. You’ll leave feeling confident and ready to become the best version of yourself.

Valentine Cookie Frost ‘n’ Sip

Threadbare Cider House, located in Pittsburgh’s Spring Garden neighborhood, is giving you and your girlfriends two chances to become sugar cookie professionals. The events take place on Wednesday, February 9th and Friday, February 18th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Tickets cost $45 and include a Threadbare Cider to sip while learning about royal icing. You will leave the class with new decorating skills and some yummy Valentine’s Day cookies to share.

Go & Love Yourself at OM Lounge

Are you looking for a zen night out with your friends? Head over to OM Lounge’s Strip District location on Thursday, February 10th at 6:15 PM for a 75-minute vinyasa krama class followed by a guided meditation. Classes are $18 and can be booked online. This class will surely have you feeling refreshed with their heart opening flow. After class stop in to the Fine Wine and Good Spirits store across the street, grab some wine and head home for a movie night with your girls. 

Drag Brunch at Trace Brewing

Are you and your girls looking for some entertainment? Head  over to Trace Brewing on Sunday, February 13th at 12:00 PM for a Drag Brunch hosted by Luna Skye and Indie Skies. Tickets start at $25 and include your reservation and the show. There will be mimosa specialS, as well as tacos from Taqueria El Pastorcito’s food truck available for purchase. This event will definitely help you put the “fun” in Sunday Funday.
