When it comes to September, we all collectively know it as “back-to-school” season.  For those in the fashion industry, it’s known as the “January of Fashion”, where major cities showcase their latest fineries.

Pittsburgh has now become included within that realm, showcasing the highly anticipated annual Pittsburgh Fashion Week.  Now in its fourth consecutive year, the running of the event will be lead under Downtown Community Development Corporation.

Calendars are set for fashion week from ‪September 30th through October 3rd‬ as #PGHFW19 (it’s all about the social handle, everyone) is scheduled to showcase a diverse range of our city’s very own design, art and entertainment.

The opening night Kickoff Party is scheduled for ‪September 30th‬ with 250 members of the fashion community on the rooftop of IL Tetto.  As the event moves into its second night, #PGHFW19 will partner with KDKA TV for Technovation – an innovative marriage of technology and fashion at‪ The Rivers Casino‬ ‪on Tuesday, October 1st.‬

Night three will be host to HIP at the Flashlight Factory with the first of the runway shows, and new to the mix will be The Fashion of Flesh event pairing today’s fashions models with classy and fun tattoo art.

As the pièce de résistance, the grand finale at Wintergarden at PPG Place will host the renowned runway show highlighting local designers and models.

But if you are one of those that simply cannot wait for fashion week to start, have no fear!  Pittsburgh’s beloved Row House Cinema and the innovative Style412 team have worked together to present the most stylish film festival to hit this beautiful city. The first of its kind, this festival will showcase films never before presented in Pittsburgh.

Poised to be the cornerstone of PGH fashion events, the Fashion Film Festival showcases a truly unique cultural experience of film, something never done here before, complete with film, panel discussion, swag bags and more.

Throughout the festival, guests will be able to enjoy screenings of documentaries The True Cost and Halston and cult classic films ‪Zoolander‬ and Clueless.

The festival kicks off on Friday, September 20th and runs through Sunday, September 22nd with an exclusive evening party. Showtimes and ticketing information can be found at rowhousecinema.com
