Wear your best costume (and learn cool things) at the Carnegie Haunted Museum After Dark! The ghoulish night goes down on Friday, October 20th at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. From live animal meet and greets to festive drinks – they have you covered for a fun, frightful night!

Throughout the haunted event, you can “discover what is fact or fiction, and what mysteries are still waiting to be solved. What creatures inspired the monsters that haunt our dreams? What real animals, plants, and bugs are stranger than anything we can imagine?”

Keynote speaker Matt Lake, author of Weird Pennsylvania, will give “an overview of some creatures that have enjoyed a century or more of widespread recognition without actually existing (at least, not as specimens in the wild).”

There’s also live animal meet and greets! “Meet some of the museums’ slithery, scaly, and furry critters.” You can also find “one-of-a-kind specimens that have emerged for one night only on the Cryptic Catch’em All Trick or Treat Quest”!

Enjoy alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, with light snacks available for purchase. They will also have zero-proof gin, whiskey, tequila and non-alcoholic beer. Make sure to get festive with the Poison Apple mocktail and Witches’ Brew cocktail!

Have fun wearing your costume! Costumes cannot include masks that cover the entire face, weapons, or weapon-like objects. Safety masks are permitted, but not required.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended. Tickets are $24 ($19 for members) when purchased online or over the phone before October 20th at 5pm. Tickets are $29 ($24 for members) at the door.
