Experience the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in a whole new light—visit the museum at night! The museum has announced After Dark 2020, a series of pop culture-themed events for ages 21+ that take place on six different Friday nights throughout the year.

From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at each event, you can stroll through the museum’s galleries to complete scavenger hunts, compete at trivia, and participate in other hands-on activities. Food and drinks, including alcoholic beverages, are also available to purchase at each event.

Kicking off the series is Speakeasy After Dark on March 13th, 2020. Speakeasy After Dark will delve into the Roaring ‘20s, featuring popular 1920s cocktails, trivia, period costumes, and other scientific discoveries, controversies, and achievements from the decade. Attendees often dress in themed attire, so start looking for your most Gatsbyesque suits and flapper skirts!

The other After Dark nights at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History will explore the culture and science behind Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Pride, and Halloween.

You can purchase Standard or Fast Pass tickets for each of the six events, or buy a Season Pass, discounting the cost of each event. Many of the events sell out, so a Season Pass is also great way to guarantee entry. The VIP version of the Season Pass offers additional perks, such as behind the scenes access to collections and museum spaces, plus the first public tours of The Alcohol House.

Standard Tickets cost $15 advance/$20 at-the-door/$13.50 museum members, a Fast Pass costs $32.50 (no registration or drink lines), Season Passes are $60 ($54 for members), and the VIP Season Pass is $130 (exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences and no registration or drink lines). On June 26th, Celebrate Pride After Dark will have a special “pay-what-you-wish” admission cost.
