The official start of summer is just a short twenty days away and with the amount of vaccinated people being on the rise we are excited to reconvene together and soak up the sun! Keep reading for our recommended list of outdoor events happening in the ‘burgh this spring and summer.

Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival – June 4 – 13

Presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival returns this year offering a mix of virtual and in-person programming held at Point State Park and throughout the Cultural District. This includes the popular Artist Market that features 150+ independent artists in an open-air setting, selling handmade fine art and fine crafts from 12-8 pm each day of the Festival. Other events include music and dance at the Riverside Stage at Allegheny Overlook Pop-up Park daily from 12-8, music performances every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Dollar Bank Main Stage at 7:30 p.m., indoor gallery exhibitions, outdoor public art installations & activities, food, and more! 

Juneteenth Freedom Days – June 18 – 20

Celebrate Juneteenth 2021 at Juneteenth Freedom Days at Point State Park. Juneteenth commemorates the day slaves learned they were freed on June 19, 1865. The Freedom Days will feature musical showcases, youth programs, African American culture education, food trucks, speakers, and more!

Trax Farms Summer Wine Festival – June 19th

Visit the summer wine festival at Trax Farms and sample several wineries, enjoy delicious food, and listen to live music all afternoon long! Each ticket includes unlimited wine sampling, access to food trucks, live music, and a hayride to the top of the hill.

Fireworks at Point State Park  – July 4

Fourth of July fireworks will return to Point State Park this year! A family-style picnic will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will include patriotic music and food vendors and the event will close out with fireworks.
