Women Who Rock connects women through the power of music and helps to educate, support, and fund women-centric health research and music endeavors. The annual Women Who Rock Concert features a 100% female fronted line-up with the most awesome performances. Legendary artists Sheila E. and Ann Wilson of Heart have rocked the annual concert party, with the proceeds going to women’s health research at Magee-Womens Research Institute. I’ll never forget Sheila E. going into the massive crowd during the 2019 event at Stage AE, where she led a powerful performance of “Purple Rain”. Surreal. The concert date for 2021 is yet to be announced.

“It has always been important to Women Who Rock to partner with women owned businesses because it’s crucial to support and sustain women’s economic empowerment,” said Melinda Colaizzi, Founder of Women Who Rock, in a press release. “Renee Piatt is a truly talented artist and we’re grateful to have her help us Rock the Future of Women’s Health. For Women Who Rock, the lightning bolt represents high voltage women, women who are trailblazers, women who are changing the world, and unstoppable! So we wear these gorgeous necklaces with pride, like a badge of honor”.

Renee Piatt is a Pittsburgh-based jewelry designer with her own line, Renee Piatt Collection. Her collection pulls inspiration from her surroundings to create looks that reflect her personal style and sense of self-expression.

“I am incredibly honored and proud to partner with Women Who Rock,” said Renee Piatt. “I truly believe music and art heal, unite and ground us all. Through the confluence of music, design, and philanthropy we can help improve the lives of women and assist in the endeavors of Magee-Womens Research in providing for women’s critical needs in the community.”
