Father’s Day 2020 was likely a bit of a bust so here in 2021 you’re likely looking to have a killer Dad’s Day. Here’s our recommendation on how to show Dad he’s #1. (PS. It’s not just for dads.)

Morning

Not that homemade cards and food concoctions aren’t adorable, but a better way to start the day is with a delicious Wake Up PGH crunch wrap (cuz what dad wouldn’t benefit from adding a few crunches to their day??) or one of these 9 Breakfast Joints that will knock your socks off. Show his tummy some love. No motivation needed.

Mid-Day

No doubt quarantine allowed you to check out a few new parks and trails or city steps or bike trails. Take some time and visit a familiar favorite or discover a new trail. You never know – it may just become your new family favorite!

If physical activity is low on your list of priorities there’s always day drinking. Many local breweries have added in more outdoor patio biergarten space so get out to check one out. Many places, like Altered Genius in Ambridge and Strange Roots in Gibsonia + Millvale, are family-friendly so no need to ditch the kids (unless you’re looking to give dad a Dad’s Day Out). Grab some pints with your lil pints!

Wrap up his special day with more activities anyone can get behind. How about some tasty ice cream? Or maybe sneak in a round of putt-putt? Or better yet – both!

Do any or all of those things and you’ve got yourself a surefire recipe for a Dad-Approved Father’s Day!
