June is Pride Month, and to help kick off a month full of celebration and love for the ‘Burgh’s LGBTQ+ community, MiP has put together a list of some of our favorite LGBTQ-owned businesses in Pittsburgh where you can shop to show your support and take home some amazing (and delicious) local goods:

Leona’s Ice Cream

Everyone loves Leona’s Ice Cream sandwiches on a hot June day! Owned by Katie Heldstab and Christa Puskarich in honor of their senior dog Leona, these lactose-free sandwiches are the perfect summer treat and feature unique, memorable flavors alongside crowd-pleasing favorites.

Studio Raw Elite

At Studio Raw Elite, all are welcome to enjoy their “atmospheric” salon community! Owner Dan Burda routinely supports causes close to his heart, including raising awareness for Pride Month and the LGBTQ+ community. Plus, they’re a great salon for a full range of hair and beauty services, like their incredible color work!

412 Apotheca

412 Apotheca is an all-in-one shop for body, face, and haircare products that are “best for people, planet, and animals” – and smell amazing, too! As a gay-owned business, 412 Apotheca has also shone a spotlight on LGBTQ-owned brands that it carries in a beautiful display shown above, which you can shop now at its North Side store!

Pigeon Bagels

Certified kosher bagel bakery Pigeon Bagels is an LGBTQ-owned shop with national recognition for having some of the best bagels in the country! Whether you just want a schmear of cream cheese or want to savor a whole sandwich with lox or veggies, make sure you show up quick to show your support – they routinely sell out quickly.

Maude’s Paperwing Gallery

At Maude’s Paperwing Gallery, you’ll find all the wonderful, witchy items your heart desires, from crystals and herbs to books, spell candles, and more! As a queer- and woman-owned metaphysical gift shop, Maude’s has a “passion is personal growth and healing from trauma [and offers] you the tools and community to support you on your path.” They’ve also got a curated pride collection that you can shop now!

California Cycle Path

California Cycle Path owner John Bratton has created a space where all are welcome to pursue their wellness and fitness on their own path, with a variety of training options from indoor cycling and TRX bootcamp to yoga, HIIT, rowing, and more! Thanks to its inclusive attitude and diverse client base, it’s easy to feel at home while getting your sweat on.
