Need some holiday shopping inspo? We will be shopping in a different neighborhood each week throughout the holidays. Come with us to the Southside!

Here are 9 local businesses you gotta check out for gifts for others and for yourself:

Illegal Apparel

Apparel so good it should be illegal, and it is. Pittsburgh’s own Illegal Apparel is a brand that’s all about being true to yourself. You’ll find sweatpants, hoodies, and shirts at their flagship store in the Southside, along with limited in-store only releases every few weeks.

Wings Over Pittsburgh

Show yourself some tender love and care by soaring over to Wings Over Pittsburgh. With tenders, wings, sandwiches, and oodles of sauce options you are only as limited as your appetite. You can build a simple meal for yourself or plan for an aircraft-carrier-sized catered feast. And don’t forget to add the waffle fries and garlic parm tots!

Fireborn Studios

Bowl over your fam and friends and totally be kiln’ it this holiday season with some locally made pottery. At Fireborn Studios you’ll find a diverse selection of pottery along with a cera-mix of awesome other work from glass, jewelry, and print artists. The studio is part retail space and part display space of larger scale work and experimental work. And if you’re more of a DIYer seize the clay by signing up for one of their pottery classes or workshops.

Southside Boxing Club

Hit up the Southside Boxing Club to punch your holidays up a notch. While this gift doesn’t come in a box, it does come with a ring. They welcome anyone who wishes to learn the art of boxing to check them out, but they specialize in professional boxing training and MMA crossover athletes.

Quick Drip IV

The holidays are great, until they aren’t. When last night was a trip let your day be a drip. With Quick Drip IV you’ll get back to being you in as little as 45 minutes. They offer drips for health, fitness, hangover prevention and hangover cures. Each drip is customizable to what benefits you.
