Not only is this the premier outdoors shop in Pittsburgh, 3ROC also prides itself for being a “hub for the outdoor community.” They host weekly meet-ups like group runs or mountain biking rides in Frick Park.

At My Goodness they believe in selling groceries and prepared foods made in Western Pennsylvania. This premier shop has everything from fresh pressed juices, vegan and gluten-free prepared foods, and ready-to-eat dishes. Cohen’s Collectibles & Mustang Comics

Unlike stocks and bonds, collectibles are the perfect way to actually enjoy your investment. Cohen’s Collectibles & Mustang Comics is a hobbyists’ dream stop. Here you can find sports memorabilia, comic books, and Funko Pops. The shop is staffed by specialists who will help you identify your own collectibles. They’ll even buy or trade some of your pieces. 

Fern Hollow Bicycles

Believe it or not, Pittsburgh has consistently been rated one of the top cities for bicyclists and walking commuters. At Fern Hollow Bicycles they will take care of all of your biking needs. While they primarily focus on repairs and restorations, you’ll also find new Marin, Cinelli, and Pashley brands. Fern Hollow Bicycle carries used bikes and parts. 

Knotzland Bespoke Bowtie Studio

22 at-home sewists, 5 volunteers and a small studio team create all of the sustainable fashion accessories found at Knotzland. Moms, entrepreneurs, retirees, and students are dedicated to creating this ecosystem of work from home income opportunities as members of the “Sewical Network.” Here you’ll find handcrafted bow ties,  masks and other products all sourced and made using reclaimed fabrics and materials with minimal to zero waste. The shop is open by appointment Wednesday – Friday, 11 a.m. – 4:40 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Meshwork Press

Meshwork Press is a community print shop in Wilkinsburg committed to making good, inky messes. Their printmaking studio on Trenton Avenue offers letterpress and screen printed paper goods like readymade greeting cards and custom printed paper goods like wedding invitations, stationery, and business cards. Founded by Haylee Ebersole and Kyrie Bushaw in 2018, their hope was to create a community, art-centered space to share their love of printmaking to youth in the neighborhood. Since the beginning, they’ve partnered with The Wilkinsburg Youth Project (WYP), a local program that partners with local youth to provide introductions to job skills and entrepreneurship. Open by appointment Monday-Friday 10 a.m. – 4 a.m.
