The two neighborhoods offer a variety of restaurants and services. Everything’s in bloom out in the ‘Fields.
Spork
Something new and fresh is always in season at Spork. With a seasonal ingredient driven menu, their food, beer, wine, and cocktails are developed and implemented, first and foremost, by what they are able to source at its peak.
Priding themselves on their firm commitment to scratch preparation, Spork relies on their quarter-acre vegetable farm adjacent to the restaurant, local farms, butchers, seafood houses and a few select distributors to execute their vision. They in-house grain mill and bake their own breads, ferment and pickle their own vegetables, hand craft a full line of pastas, provide house-cured meats, and produce a full range of pastries.
Comfort Keepers
Comfort Keepers has been providing non-medical care to older adults in the Pittsburgh area since 2001. Loved ones can remain at home for as long as safely possible thanks to Comfort Keepers’ approach to caregiving and their range of services. Their interactive model strives to preserve independence and self-determination – they “do with” rather than “do for”.
Services include light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship, bathing, dressing, incontinence care, medication reminders, safety sitting, and incidental transportation (errands, appointments, etc.). Comfort Keepers elevates the human spirit for today’s seniors and their families through a unique, individualized approach to care that helps seniors thrive and achieve greater well-being by fostering everyday positive moments, connection, and a more purposeful life, no matter their age or acuity.
