Taco Tuesday, anyone? Today we’re highlighting a favorite taco and tequila joint in Pittsburgh. Condado is known for its build-your-own-taco concept. People come for the tacos and usually stay for the margaritas.

The first thing you’ll notice about Condado is the art inside the restaurant. It’s colorful, crazy, and unlike any other restaurant in the city. The high-top seating is pretty casual. Condado also has a nice patio and outdoor seating perfect for summer days.

Condado is ideal for taco lovers because you can make the taco you want from the shell to the toppings to the sauce and the sides. And we’re not only talking about choosing between a flour or corn shell. To give you an idea, the Ju-Ju taco includes a flour soft and corn hard shell plus queso and chorizo. The Peezler comes with a flour soft and corn hard shell with bacon refried beans, guac, and sour cream. These are not your typical tacos!

Choose from classic protein options like chicken, ground beef, and steak, as well as unique offerings like house-made chorizo, roasted portobellos, BBQ pulled jackfruit, and Thai chili tofu. Condado also has so many different types of toppings, cheeses, salsa and sauces that you could order dozens of times without getting the same taco twice.

Because of the build-your-own concept, Condado is a nice option for those with allergies or certain dietary needs. They have offerings that meet vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free requirements.

If you’d prefer to go with a Condado creation rather than making your own, they also have Taco Suggestions that bring together some of their unique tastes and toppings. The Bubba Kush, Dutch Dragon, Lucy’s Fire, and The Mantis have flavors as distinctive as their names.

And if you’re ordering tacos, you know you need chips and guac, or salsa at the very least. They also have several ooey gooey queso options that include things like chorizo, black beans, or buffalo chicken.

While Condado’s decorative dining rooms are temporarily closed due to COVID-19, they are still offering online ordering for pick-up and delivery through DoorDash and UberEats.

Build your own tacos online, or try a Bud Box that comes with two tacos and queso or guac plus chips. Pass at-home time with a Condado House Margarita Kit or a 6-pack — just remember to bring a valid ID for any alcohol and margarita kit pick ups.
