Square Cafe’s Regent Square location was famous for their savory scrambles, strong coffee, sweet treats, and superior service. Crowds often spilled out onto the surrounding sidewalk to earn a spot inside the colorful cafe. Bright walls filled with swirls and circles for design made the cafe not only delicious, but a cheerful experience for any brunch goer.

Meeting demand, Square Cafe has moved to a larger location in East Liberty.Opened for business in October 2020, make sure you include this can’t miss restaurant in your weekend brunch rotation.

Their stellar service, food, and iconic square mugs can now be found at 134 S Highland Ave, Pittsburgh, PA. While moving in a pandemic is no easy feat, the restaurant has prepared to welcome back new and old customers in their new space. Colorful walls, bright designs, and eclectic furnishings add to it’s allure as a space to share a meal with family or friends. The menu has something for nearly everyone. In the mood for something sweet? Square cafe has you covered. Try any of the dectant pancakes offered – from buttermilk to lemon berry ricotta. The Brioche French Toast, paired with a cup of freshly brewed coffee, is basically the solution to any Sunday scaries ever ( not proven, but we’re pretty sure.) More of a savory brunch person? Square cafe has a mile long list of sandwiches, salads, burgers, and wraps to try. The Chicken and Mushroom Crepes, filled with a rich asiago cheese sauce, pair perfectly with a side of homefries. In true Pittsburgh fashion, Square Cafe even pays homage to a polish favorite: perogies! Their potato soup, topped with mini perogies and bacon, is a great comfort meal to beat away the Pittsburgh cold. Whatever you try, it’s pretty safe to bet that your taste buds will be thanking you.

If you have dietary restrictions, Square Cafe’s menu is easy to understand. Dishes are clearly marked vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free to accommodate those with different diets.
