Spring has officially sprung and it’s never been a better time to enjoy the nice weather and a cold glass of beer from our fave local breweries. Don’t know where to start? Keep reading for more!
Located in the heart of Bloomfield, Trace Brewing is a community-forward brewery offering a diverse array of styles for all types of beer drinkers. The brewery building features aspects of its original uses as a brass & bronze foundry, photography development center, and a concert venue making it an innovative, warm, and inviting space. It also has a guest-facing Coolship Room – which is used for brewing both open and wild fermented beers. Their outdoor beer garden is perfect for basking in the sun while drinking a glass of The Sun is Up, a coffee, oatmeal porter.
Burgh’ers Brewing is an elevated smash burger joint and brewery founded in Harmony, PA in 2010 turned brewery in 2017 when it expanded to Lawrenceville. They focus on following the highest quality production standards and maintain a menu of flagship beers that are designed to support the flavor profiles of their food. Choose from IPAs, sours, pilsners, pale ales, stouts, porters and more.
Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery
At Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery every customer has a personal brewer, who all take the term craft beer seriously, crafting fresh beer inspired by their own experiences. Rock Bottom beers have never been exposed to light, heat, or oxygen like mass-produced beer, and maximum freshness is always maintained. Check out their website to view the current tap list and upcoming events, including live comedy showcases every Thursday, charity events, bingo, and more.
Coal Tipple Brewery
Coal Tipple Brewery located at Kramer’s Greenhouse and Raccoon Creek Winery is a one stop shop for beer and wine where you can enjoy the beverage of your choice amongst the garden plants all grown on-site at the new beer garden that is opening this spring. We recommend visiting late morning/early afternoon on Saturday to view the next batch of beer as it’s being brewed from the taproom! Before grabbing a drink explore the outdoors at the 70 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails within 5 minutes of the tap room in Hillman and Raccoon Creek state parks. This content was provided by a local, independent contributor to Made in PGH, a lifestyle blog.
