Live music has a new home in the East End – The Bridge Restaurant & Music Bar is now open!

Located at 6018 Broad Street in the heart of East Liberty’s historic commercial district, The Bridge is now officially welcoming music lovers, foodies and party animals after its grand opening on August 6th.

Here’s the best part – yinzers who have been in mourning since Howlers of Bloomfield closed in early February 2020 can now rejoice, because the team behind the beloved pub and music venue are using their two decades of industry experience to bring The Bridge into the limelight and continue bringing live performances to the ‘Burgh.

This time, The Bridge’s owners have put extra effort into becoming a part of their new neighborhood, explaining on their website that they chose their East Liberty location “to pay homage to the rich arts history in this neighborhood,” and to “showcase local, regional and national acts with a state of the art sound system [while maintaining] the historical architectural features of the building’s origin dating back to 1950.”

In addition to The Bridge’s main stage and dining area, guests can enjoy The River Lounge on the downstairs level for a more relaxed, easygoing vibe with a jukebox, darts and sports on TV. There’s also an outdoor patio lounge where you can enjoy some cool drinks and warm bites as summer turns to fall!

The Bridge is open daily from 4PM on weekdays and 11AM on weekends until 2AM, and there’s a performance you can enjoy just about every night. In addition to their calendar of events that features weekly guests and touring artists, The Bridge has a full menu of tasty food and drinks that you can enjoy while you take in a performance – or just for a nice meal out!

The Bridge offers shareables and small plates for the social crowd as well as salads, hearty sandwiches and sides for satisfying your cravings. You can also order seasonal and classic cocktails from their bar menu, like a mint julep, a margarita or even a gin fizz! The Bridge serves Smokey Robinson brand wines by the glass and bottle as well, and of course there is a selection of draft beer too.

Whether you like jazz, rock, hip hop, soul, funk, or every genre of music, The Bridge has a show coming up that you’re sure to love! Check out their calendar of events to see who’s coming soon, and don’t forget to come hungry.
Looking for a space for a private event – or to play some of your own tunes? You can reach out to The Bridge on their website to be contacted about booking your music act or private event at their space.
