All of these spots deserve a standing ovation for their ability to craft something so simple into something so scrumptious. 

Duncan Street Sandwich Shop

If you haven’t been to this Millvale gem, run don’t walk to grab yourself one (or two) of their fresh and delicious masterpieces, I mean sandwiches. Duncan’s menu is packed with homemade specialty items all made fresh in house. From salads, sandwiches, sides, desserts and even homemade sodas, anything you order will have you wanting more. One trip here and you’ll be hooked. 

Carson Street Deli & Craft Beer 

Carson St. Deli is a Southside staple. Here is where you can order off their extensive menu or get creative and build your own. Take one look at this menu and you’ll realize you’ve stepped into a sandwich eutopia. Wash one of these freshly loaded sandwiches down with a craft beer and you’ll be satisfied for days. 

Pear & Pickle Cafe 

Looking for the perfect breakfast? Pear & Pickle knows a thing or two about a good breakfast sandwich. This Troy Hill gem actually knows many things about all kinds of sandwiches. This spot is perfect to do work during the day or just sit back and enjoy a good book. Pear and Pickle is cozy and serves some of the freshest sammies Pittsburgh has to offer!

This food truck is definitely a Steel city favorite. Find it cruising down the streets of the burgh while cooking up some of the most delicious bites ever offered on wheels. With the start of the art sandwiches and sides, this truck isn’t only people friendly but also offering some goodies for your pups! 

Peppi’s Old Tyme Sandwich Shop 

This diner is an oldie but goodie and has been serving Pittsburgh there fresh subs and sandwiches for many years. Peppi’s knows the bread is the backbone to any good sandwich which is why they have always served theirs on a local favorite, Mancini’s bread. Peppi’s now has four locations meaning the convenience of getting one of these subs is a breeze!

If you have a craving for one of their mouth-watering sandwiches, don’t wait because you might miss out. Don’t worry there is always more the next day. DiAnoia’s Eatery 

DiAnoia’s is a gift. Plain and simple. If you’re craving a good sandwich for lunch you must enjoy a panini off their deli menu. Each Panini loaded with absolute goodness and fresh ingredients will have you questioning which one to get. No matter what you can’t go wrong with one of these gems. 

Tootie’s Famous Italian Beef 

Right off Carson St. tucked inside a small shop is where you can find Tootie’s Famous Italian Beef. Walk-in here and you’ll think you stepped into your grandmother’s kitchen on a Sunday night. Eat here and you will never be able to get enough.

Gaucho has been a Pittsburgh favorite since the moment they opened their doors. Known for their juicy smoked meats, Gaucho offers drool-worthy sandwiches featuring, said juicy smoked meats!
