What better way to start the new year then with eating more food! Pittsburgh Restaurant Week is back–and this year there are more restaurants than ever to try.
The event celebrates the variety of restaurants in Pittsburgh, with over 60 local businesses featuring new dishes, special menus, and discounted meals. So basically, if you have a favorite Pittsburgh restaurant, it’s most likely participating in the event.
So how does one go about choosing a restaurant from this long list? Don’t panic because Made in PGH has everything narrowed down in helping you choose!
Want to try some new dishes made especially for the event?! There’s over 20 restaurants that will feature new dishes for the week—including Lemont, The Foundry Table and Tap, Carmella’s Plates and Pints, Lidia’s, Terrace Room, BRGR, Paris 66, and many more!
How about exclusive menu options? Yes, of course! Restaurant week features special prix-fixe menu options, ranging from $20-$35. Casa Brasil, Mezzo at Sienna Mercato, The Vandal, Twelve Whiskey Barbeque, and Superior Motors are among some of the options, with more to be announced.
Pittsburgh Restaurant Week began in 2012, and has become very successful due to the social media influence of food bloggers and twitter users, helping to boost the excitement. The idea of having the event is not only about supporting local restaurants, but designed to help business during a rather slow time of the year.
Want to make a reservation online? There are 35 restaurants using Open Table, which is conveniently listed next to each name. Check it out here.
The event runs from January 14th-20th. You can check out the entire list of restaurants and all the info here.
