This time of year has always lent itself to delicious fish fries. This year is no exception.

Community Kitchen Pittsburgh

This annual fundraising tradition not only brings the community together but also supports Community Kitchen Pittsburgh’s missions: workforce development through their culinary training program and hunger relief.

Community Kitchen Pittsburgh’s fish fries run every Friday from March 7th – April 18th, from 11am – 7pm. Guests can enjoy delicious, locally prepared fish fry meals with the option to dine in or take out. Pre-orders can also be placed online each week beginning at 9am on Mondays for Friday pickup.

The menu features classic fish fry favorites—fried fish sandwiches along with house-made mac and cheese, coleslaw, french fries, haluski, and cheddar pierogies. Hazel Grove Brewing will be on-site each week and the local Girl Scouts will be selling cookies March 7th, 14th, and 21st.

“It’s the culmination of everything we do at CKP on full display for the city to see. For seven Fridays out of the year, CKP demonstrates what true community looks like, and it is an experience unlike any other Fish Fry in Pittsburgh!” says Bruce Harris, Executive Chef at CKP.

Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh

Many parishes throughout the Diocese of Pittsburgh host fish fries, meaning you likely will find one more or less in your own backyard.

The Fish Fry Guide 2025 includes 38 different fish fries in Allegheny County, 3 in Beaver County, 6 in Butler County, 6 in Washington County, and 1 each in Greene and Lawrence Counties.

What’s offered where and when varies by parish, so check out their guide to learn more.

A.W. Beattie Career Center

The A. W. Beattie Career Center Restaurant actually offers breakfast and lunch buffets on Thursdays and Fridays throughout their academic year.

But during Lent, they transition to their annual fish fry menu filled with entrees, sides, and a la carte items.

It is dine-in or take out only around lunchtime with no pre-orders available, but their robust menu is one of the most extensive around. The menu includes all the usuals, but you’ll also find things like country style fried chicken strips, fried shrimp, lump crab fitters, loaded baked potatoes, fried zucchini, and New England clam chowder with breadsticks.

This year the fish fry is on Fridays, March 14th, March 21st, March 28th, April 4th, and April 11th from 11am – 1:30pm. Address: 9600 Babcock Blvd. in Allison Park.

Bitter Ends Food with brothmonger

Every Friday during Lent, Bitter Ends Food joins forces with brothmonger for a fish fry menu from 5pm – 8pm.

This limited time menu includes a classic Bitter Ends fried cod sandwich, haluski, coleslaw, dessert of the week, and other select options. Address: 4770 Liberty Ave. in Bloomfield.

Our Lady of Victory Maronite Catholic Church

Our Lady of Victory Maronite Catholic Church in Beechview goes well beyond your usual fish fry fare, by adding a Lebanese flair.

Of course you’ll find the classic fish sandwiches, but its more unique offerings include falafel on saj bread, lubia and rice pilaf, falafel plate, and red lentil soup. Address: 1000 Tropical Ave. in Beechview.
