Lawrenceville’s TRYP Hotel opened its doors late last week and we couldn’t be more excited. Sitting above the newly renovated hotel, (which is practically an art gallery) awaits the highly anticipated, rooftop bar and restaurant Over Eden. With scenic views of the city skyline, elevated decor and a patio lit by string lights and lined with high top and low top tables, this space is nothing short of a dream.

Executive Chef Brandon Blumenfeld is serving up a Mediterranean inspired menu featuring snacks, salatim (aka salads), dips served with fresh pita, and sandwiches. This menu is loaded with vegan and vegetarian options. The dip platter is a perfect starter for the table which includes dishes like baba ganoush, carrot muhammara, and classic hummus. If you’re more of a meat eater, we highly suggest the pastrami smoked beef ribs. These short ribs are brined then smoked and paired with rice pilaf, salatim, hummus, and pita and can be shared between 4-6 people!  May we also suggest an order of Za’atar chips, the olives, mama B’s salami, cucumber salatim, the sweet potato, and Halloumi cheese? We pretty much love the whole menu. Let’s not forget about dessert. Millies Homemade Ice Cream is featured on the menu with options like pomegranate sorbet and tahini date ice cream, both perfect options to end your rendezvous at Over Eden on a sweet note. The bar is stocked with craft cocktails, mocktails, wine, rosé, locally crafted beer by the can and on tap. Seasonal boozy pitchers like the prickly pear or the tropical luau are also available and perfect to cool off this summer. Summer Solstice is right around the corner and now you know where to find us!
