There’s nothing better than finding a quaint local coffee shop in your neighborhood. Morningside is a quiet neighborhood in the city that borders Highland Park and Stanton Heights, and we’ve found a newly opened coffee shop to obsess over there. Ka-Fair Coffee and Cakery opened in July, bringing Thai-inspired coffee and pastries to Pittsburgh.

The shop interior feels homey and comfortable with a couch, benches and pillows. There’s plenty of seating inside, with a few outdoor tables as well. The cozy atmosphere goes perfectly with their broad menu of coffees and sweet treats.

With garage-style doors opening up to a quiet part of Chislett Street in Morningside, this is an ideal spot to get a little work done or catch up on some reading. Working from a new place can help get those creative juices flowing, so grab your laptop and enjoy a change of scenery at Ka-Fair or some of our other recommended coffee shops to work at.

The interior of the shop and Ka-Fair’s decor make this a place where you should order your coffee for here. Grab a latte and stay for a while.

Ka-Fair’s food is as good as the coffee, with the daily quiche being a must order. They serve homemade goods like a crepe cake with raspberry topping and orange cakes. Ka-Fair also creates homemade smoothies, macaroons, brownies, custards and avocado toast.
