We love to indulge in the occasional (or more likely, frequent) bakery treat. Thankfully Pittsburgh is home to excellent bakeries, some that specialize in gluten-free and dairy-free delicacies so those with allergies don’t have to miss out. In the spirit of “treat yo’ self,” we’re highlighting the best spots for gluten-free sweets in the city.

Gigi’s Cupcakes opened its first Pennsylvania location in McCandless Crossing. It isn’t a gluten-free bakery, but they do make our favorite gluten-free cupcakes in town. This bakery offers three different gluten-friendly cupcakes per day. You’ll be tempted to try the flourless Triple Chocolate Torte for sure.

Since you can create your own, it’s easy to make a treat that’s dairy-free, vegan or sugar-free. Getting to watch the ice cream made and assembled right in front of you is half the fun.
